Dasavatharam

Yes this is about The film Dasavatharam. I saw this movie this week end with hubby and Tejas. It is a technically very well made movie and one should see this at least once in the big screen at least for the great efforts put in by one man(ten show). We both like Kamal's movies and mainly we like his comedies. Mostly his comedies will be from the dialogues (ala crazy Mohan) and one should be attentive to the conversation among the characters. The best example of this was his Mumbai Express. Not for him the crude way of making people laugh by a person getting hit by all and sundry and obscene body movements. But unfortunately majority of cine goers seem to like the crude presentation of comic situations.
Coming back to this film, his acting is excellent especially as the Andhra Police Officer. This character is presented as typical Kamal comedy movie type character and the situations where he comes are quite hilarious. The heroine Asin has also acted quite very well. Tejas was enjoying the movie trying to recognize the different Kamals and counting and not ending up with the figure ten and finally when I told him about one of the character, his comment was ' oh was that also Kamal, no wonder I could not get to 10'. Of course the credit should go to the make up artist.
I really hope the movie runs well. I am sure the audience will be there first to see what is so great about it but I am not sure whether it will attract repeat audience which seals the fate of any movie especially big movies.
Kamal looked the best as the 12th Century Vaishnavite in the first few scenes.
Hats off to that man for trying out something so different.
